Here’s To Being At Home…On Eco-Friendly Terms

photo Lipply

There is no question about it. “Going Green” is in, says Kay Divi with this article about Eco Friendly Homes. No matter where you are or what you do, you have probably heard the buzz on global warming, conservation, or at least the words, “reduce, re-use, re-cycle”. As neutral a topic as the weather, most people are interested in at least discussing anything eco-friendly. In fact, nine out of ten Americans are interested enough to choose a more energy efficient home over a lesser one, yet eight out of ten Americans said no one talked about energy efficiency during the buying process, according to a survey by energypulse.org. Two out of three Americans surveyed were also willing to pay a premium for homes that have solar systems installed. Florida Real Estate :: New York Style :: Is Tampa The Sixth Borough?

photo Lipply

Whenever you have a website with a toll free number and it can easily be found on the Internet, you tend to receive your share of sales calls, lots of them.  It was Saturday afternoon when Jason Sheftell called, sounding just like one of those sales calls.  The voice mail message sounded hurried and a bit anxious.  He said he'd like to have 30 minutes of our time, maybe over lunch, to discuss the current real estate market in our area for an article he was writing for the NY Daily News.  Our first inclination was to pass due to the fact that Sunday is a busy day for us (plus this had to be an advertising stunt) but my marketing manager insisted we at least call him back.  Jason sounded extremely genuine and my marketing manager had already begun to gather…

Alderman Ridge Subdivision - Palm Harbor, FL

photo Lipply

alderman ridgeAlderman Ridge in Palm Harbor is your typical family neighborhood with newer homes (built in the early 1990s), 3 and 4 bedrooms and 2 car garages.  Most people that live in this neighborhood have children due to the popular public schools in the area.  Within walking distance are Carwise Middle School and Highland Lakes Elementary, both highly rated schools in the area.

Square footage of the homes range from 1500 - 1850 sq. ft. which was a typical build back in that time.  The builders did a great job with the modern open floor plans, high ceilings, and light and bright feel with lots of windows to let the Florida sunshine in.

Currently, there are two homes on the market and one sale pending.  There are been no closed sales yet this year as of late…
