What is the best choice to buy? new or old home?

 Why is this home a better buy? This is the question many of my investors ask.What is the best deal you can get for your buck in Fort Myers and Fort Myers Beach Beach? You have seen the home. You have been there many times.Your partner and yourself agree that it has charm.The location is terrific.The landscaping is mature and exotic and there is plenty of shade under the grown royal palms. The Jasmin vine covers a whole corner of the picket fence and the fragrance swells your nostrils after the rain.

 Nothing wrong with a newer home. The problem? If they are in a great location, like on Palm Isles Fort Myers Beach on a canal or just on a wide canal in Fort Myers Beach itself chances are it will cost a good $400K plus just to build that home at $200 minimum per square foot plus the price of the lot. So you have to see if once you calculate the cost of remodeling on the older home how well does it fare against a new home.

 Do your home work.Old Florida Home or New Home?  You can tell that even though this home is over 50 years old, everything has been renovated, even the pilings, some of the studs, the plumbing, the strapping in the rafters..everything! Now this home below would be considered a winner.great location on canal, a pool and a competitive asking price at $488,900. How much would it take to build a new home like this on a similar lot in Fort Myers Beach? What would be the total price? I am guessing that it would take at least $120-$140K more. There are however no straight answers, each case is different. Just calculate your costs and go from there. You will know if the numbers work, then you can smile because you saved a bunch.
