Located in southern Cherokee County, the city of Woodstock GA is a classic combination of history past and times to come. Woodstock is about 30 miles north of downtown Atlanta, and can be easily accessed by Interstate 575. Woodstock has grown immensely in the past decade, welcoming many new townsmen as the urban sprawl made its way to Cherokee County.

“Where Yesterday Lives and Today Waits” is the slogan found at the Woodstock Visitor’s Center, and I couldn’t agree more with this motto. Woodstock has a fantastic historic downtown, with buildings dating back to 1879! The downtown area is currently under going a revitalization, with the addition of “Woodstock Downtown”, an incredible new multi-use development that the city is so excited about. The historic area also features antique shops, tea rooms, great restaurants, a park, and lots of other little shops for you to visit. What a great way to spend a beautiful fall afternoon!

Woodstock has everything you can think of needing right at your fingertips. Hwy 92 offers restaurants galore (both fast food and sit down), Super Target, Old Navy, Kohl’s, Office Max & Office Depot, Super Wal-Mart…lots of stuff! The Towne Lake area is a Planned Development with both residential and commercial offerings, including banks, gyms, grocery stores, all the day to day necessities, and some great places to eat. La Parilla in Towne Lake is one of the best Mexican restaurants around! Woodstock also has a great school district: Sequoyah High School is a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence.
