Rentals are always slow between Thanksgiving and Christmas, but this year they were FROZEN! We ran "Holiday Specials" for many Owners- didn't make a bit of difference. But now we are in February, the weather is REALLY unseasonably warm (high 60s today, and barely freezing tonight), and the rental market is just as warm. Yes, parts of Arizona DO get snow! At 5,000 ft elevation, Payson gets several snow falls a year, usually only a few inches. Snow has been forecast several times lately, but all we have gotten is rain. They are predicting snow again for Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, AND Wednesday. So we'll see. August 15th through the 17th brings the "World's Oldest Continuous Rodeo" to Payson, AZ. This is the 124th year for the Rodeo, held on the 3rd weekend in August. Here is a list of events and times. The Rodeo is held at the Payson Event Center, South of town, across the Beeline Hwy (Hwy 87, the highway which comes North from Phoenix) from the Mazatzal Casino. I LOVE storms! This is a great time of year to live in Payson if you like storms. Almost every afternoon the clouds build on the horizon and start moving in. We've gotten a storm every couple of days for most of the month. Lightning flashes and thunder booms, And that lovely rain...
