Attention Realtors - Tell us about the Real Estate Bubble in your area!

Hello fellow webmasters and Realtors! I just published an article on my blog that I have been working on (well off & on) for a couple of weeks now. Like many of us, I have been very frustrated with doom and gloomers talking about the slump in the real estate market. I am of the opinion that this is a regional or even local phenomenon.
We can always draw generalities at the national level: however this can be misleading at best and downright wrong at worst.
At any rate, we here in the two-state area of Georgia and South Carolina, in the metro Augusta region, have not seen much of a downturn in the market. I've written a very detailed post about it here: Popping the Bubble: Disproving the 'National' Real Estate Collapse.
I hope you'll take a look at my article, and if you feel the same or have any input at all, please leave a comment...And if you feel like posting 'good news' for a change, throw me a link to the article! I'd love to hear from you!

Annie, it's great to hear some positive news about your market as well! I think it's important that we educate our clients about the market- whether that news is good or bad. My concern is that not enough of the good news is making it out into the community.

Lydia, we seem to be experiencing somewhat of the same trend. Our residential market here in East Tennessee is far from dead. Thats not to say that it hasn't slowed down by comparison but it is still moving at an acceptable rate. We still have some issues with sellers and their grasp on reality when it comes to pricing but that is slowly fixing itself. The saturation of Realtors in our market place is also fixing itself as the ones struggling to keep their heads above water slowly sink :>( Having said that, our investment market, overnight cabins, has crashed and burned. It is very much like the Florida market right now. Over priced cabins that make NO financial sense no matter how many different ways the performa is done. All in all I think that our market is moving at a realistic rate that seems to have been overshadowed by the insanity that took place 3-5 years ago... Good luck to all!!
