If you have ever wondered how to get good strong one-way links
to your real estate website, I would like to share some very easy
ways to do so. Here is a short list of methods to get those
ever desired links to your online real estate shingle, in no
particular order:
- Do the world some good and donate on Kiva. This is
a website that lets you donate to entrepreneurs the world
over. It can do your heart good, and create great one way
links like this here or this one
here.
- Buy a word on thebigwordproject.com. This is a
viral marketing experiment that lets you link words to websites,
like the word 'listing'.
The cost? $1 per letter. OK, not free, but pretty close.
- Use squidoo. You can create free pages that even generate
income, like this one.
This page about the best real estate
websites, not created by me, refers several visitors a
week.
- Use a REW or AR blog, such as this one you are reading.
- Enter niche directories. REW member VRI has a
particularly good list of real estate
directories.
- Exchange links with friends or peers with websites.
Everyone has a blogroll somewhere, even if it's on your REW
blog. Use it, that is what it is there for!!
- Enter a blog hub like blogtoplist or
topblogsites. These links typically don't pass PR, but
they do pass traffic, particularly if you have high enough traffic
to place higher in the standings. Of course, they do give
away your traffic
#'s (for the blog!) I should put links on my main site
and kick up to the front page for a while, but hey, that wouldn't
be very nice to some poor housing bubble blog.
- Here is a very easy link: Enter a blogging contest like the
Palmetto Challenge. The submissions for the very
first inaugural 'trophy' end tomorrow at 12pm EST, and the contest
is every week. That is a method that could keep generating
lots of links if you submit often enough.
- Link to blogs and articles you like, such as this one for
lousy listing photos - often those links are returned.
- Open an account with city-data.com and place a free
B&M business listing, like mine for Augusta
Georgia.
- Ask for them! You would be surprised how a polite inquiry can
work wonders. Like this one Dave Smith was kind enough to put
up on his Tucson AZ Real Estate
Blog after I mentioned I really liked his site. Thanks
Dave! (Now, let's not go bothering Dave, I was just pointing out a
kindness he did for me.)
- Publish 'linkbait' like this bizarre
listing photo of the future. Hope yours works better than
that one, but hey, we can't get it right every time!
I hope you find some of these ideas useful. I'm holding
back my REALLY good ones, since some of ya'll are competition and
all, but we are in this together so no harm no foul, right?
Go ahead, use Google
to try to find them, but it won't tell you anything!
Good luck! And try that Palmetto Challenge
tip! I need GOOD entries please!!
