SKY Sotheby's sells luxury home on Casey Key

It is a 5 bedroom, 5 bathroom and 3 half bathrooms with 7,556 square foot home sitting on 1/2 acre lot on Casey Key beach. The home closed last week for $8,500,000. Congrats to the team in my office who had it listed.

Good question my friend. Here is the 2006 sold information in the luxury home and condo market in the Sarasota area. 237 homes sold from $1 million to $3 million. 30 homes sold from $3 million to $5 million 12 homes sold from $5 million to $8 million 4 homes sold for $8 million or more The highest sale this year was $13,000,000 156 condos sold from $1 million to $3 million 10 condos sold from $3 million to $5 million 1 condo sold for $5,450,000
That's an unbeleiveable property! (I think in Louisville where I live you can get your own zip code for $8.5MM!! How long was it on the market--if I may ask? Homes in the upper price ranges of Louisville are now commonly taking 6-18 months to move. The rest of our market is clipping along faster than that...

Hi Eric, Thanks for the comment. This home was on the market 139 days. The average days on market for any home sold over $5MM this year was 270 days.

Wow that home is a beauty! Seriously though, how many of those homes actually sell a year in Sarasota? I mean 8+ million (Although the home is totally worth it) are those types of homes moving a lot? Do people have more money than I think they do?
