Another reason to post in your REW blog

I was running through my IDX registration this morning and noticed something cool. See where this lead came from? It came from one of my REW blog posts - http://www.realestatewebmasters.com/blogs/marc-rasmussen/7538/show/. This is not the first time I have seen a registrant come from my REW blog. I actually have had several people visit my website from here. I know a lot of you write posts only for the links but keep in mind that you can get additional traffic to your site.

Is anyone getting traffic from their REW blog?

Marc, The answer is yes! I too have noticed some users who have registered on my website originated from some of my REW blog posts. Thanks for the reminder that not only does the REW blog provide high quality, high authority backlinks, it can also lead to new registrations and new prospects! -Jolenta

 Jolenta & Marc,

your websites are so powerful I Congrats to both of you for blogging success!  My main concern is that my blog always gets higher on google than my website, which is turn does not get them to the idx to register.  However your systems are working perfectly.

Hi Robert,

That might be more of a reason to post in REW. If you are not ranking well yet this is a way for you to get traffic. I had the same apprehension before but as you can see your REW posts will drive traffic to your site.

Marc, Thanks for the pick me up!  I practive Real Estate in Manitowoc WI.  Please check out my website if you have time.  Any pointers would be appreciated.  I am currently looking into an LEC.  I just need a little bit more to get a comfortable feel before spending money.  Thanks again Marc.

No problem Robert. Nothing against Number1Expert sites but they don't have the most search engine friendly platform. It looks like you are framing in your IDX. If you had a custom IDX you would probably generate more traffic because of the long tail searches. Also, you might want to add your website's links on your REW blog.

Robert,  #1 sites take too long to load and are not flexible for you to add content as needed. Plus, you do not control many of the SEO aspects of the site.  I changed out a fairly decent #1 site to an REW template site with only the most basic custom IDX and it far outperforms the #1 site I had. It is not even our main site and I do nothing to it. I just did it as an experiment, yet it still generates leads.

If you go with an LEC, and assuming you do what needs to be done with the IDX, you would probably be amazed at the increase in traffic as well as leads without even blogging.

Okay you've convinced me-- I am going to start posting on my REW blog in addition to my integrated blog. Keep your eyes open!

I get around 2,700 visits per month from my blog here at REW so it is definately worth taking the time to blog here not only for backlinks but for traffic/leads also.

Lol 2700 visitors is more than most Realtors get to their site in total for a given month - that's impressive!
