Forbes.com Names Best + Worst Public High Schools

To help separate fact from fiction, Forbes.com / Forbes Magazine recently conducted a comprehensive national study of public high schools to identify which counties provide the best return on their investment when it comes to public education.
A total of 97 counties were evaluated across the U.S. and the key factors that influenced the overall rankings were as follows:
- Per Pupil Spending
- College Entrance Exam Score
- College Entrance Exam Participation Rate
- High School Graduation Rate
The results of this study were particularly interesting because it clearly demonstrated that more spending doesn't necessarily buy you a better education. Now for the top 5 and bottom 5 list:

1) Marin County Schools (California)
2) Collin County Schools (Texas)
3) Hamilton County Schools (Indiana)
4) Norfolk County Schools (Massachusetts)
5) Montgomery County Schools (Maryland)
WORST PUBLIC SCHOOLS FOR THE MONEY
97) Alexandra City County Schools (Virginia)
96) Glynn County Schools (Georgia)
95) District of Columbia Schools (Washington, DC)
94) Ulster County Schools (New York)
93) Beaufort County Schools (South Carolina)
