Mill Valley Beautification Day

Calling all Mill Valley residents.  Mark your calendars, roll up your sleeves, and get ready for Mill Valley Beautification Day. On April 19 – just in time for Earth Day, community groups, businesses, kids and adults will be out in force working together to make Mill Valley a better, more beautiful, greener place to live.

Helping to beautify Mill Valley is simple and it is easy.  Whether you are part of an organized litter brigade or out on your own, all you need to do is grab a trash bag, step out your front door, and start picking up trash.  You can join a group, volunteer your group, or organize neighbors for a neighborhood cleanup.  After the clean-up projects there will be celebration and prizes in the Plaza, with awards going to the best “Found Art Sculpture” and the best “Zero Waste Lunch”.

If you haven’t been to Mill Valley, you may not understand what a gem of a city it is.  Surrounded by hills and redwood trees, Mill Valley is only about 15 miles from San Francisco, but it is a world away.  Outdoor activities are right in the backyard, the public schools are excellent, the climate is pleasant, and the scenery defies description.  Real estate is also fabulous in Mill Valley.  Take a look at what a million or so will get you in Mill Valley, then take a sneak peek at my newest Mill Valley Listing.  You’ll see what I am talking about!

If you don’t live in Mill Valley, and I can’t convince you to make the move, I challenge you to organize a Beautification Day for your own community.  Galvanize your friends and neighbors into action.  It’s easy, it’s fun, and it makes the earth a better place.
