Marin County Schools = Top API Scores
Posted May 22, 2008 @ 6:05 pm, Viewed by 399 Visitors, Read 422 Times."Quality of local schools and eduction" is often top of mind with young Bay Area families interested in purchasing a home. In California, one common measuring stick for determining the general quality of education in a given geography (and even between schools) is the API score earned by individual schools and districts.
What is an API Score?
API stands for "Academic Performance Index" and California schools are assigned an API score based on the outcome of academic proficiency exams which are administered to students each year. API scores range from a low of 200 to a high of 1,000 points. Scores in excess of 800 are considered excellent, and represent the state of California's standard for high academic achievement.
More Top Rankings for Marin County Schools!
The California Department of Education just released the most recent API scores and Marin County Schools were once again recognized for their outstanding academic achievement, placing them ahead of other San Francisco Bay Area and California Counties. In fact, over 72% of Marin County schools earned an API score over 800, with an elite list of 18 schools in Marin earning scores over 900. These high ranking schools include every school in Mill Valley, California.
These outstanding API results are a reflection of the wonderful academic offerings in Marin County and support other recent articles about education in Marin, including my recent blog post indicating that Forbes Magazine named Marin High Schools Best in the Nation.
Kudos to the wonderful teachers and students throughout Marin County who continue to make education a priority in our wonderful community!

http://www.sanfranciscomodern.com/district-4.php Nice page, but check your code there are a bunch of funny symbols that showed up. I have had that happen before. I find your style is some what like mine http://www.propertyinsantacruz.com/Seascape-Real-Estate.php where you give the consumer a lot of information. I think that is a great feature as so many sites seem short on detail. I think the greater depth leads to longer site usage times. Nice looking REW site and great article too. You should do neighborhoods on the REW directory, you will do well there with your in depth style.
