The best beachfront property in Dubai

Beachfront real estate is always high in demand on every property market, and the Dubai property market is no different, with a great selection of desirable freehold properties right on the coast. Just like international markets, beachfront property in Dubai is also amongst the most expensive because prime location comes at a price, and the property developments that have taken the beachfront are mostly luxury properties. Here’s a rundown of the leading beachfront properties in Dubai at the moment, and what we expect to appear in the future.
Palm Jumeirah
Definitely recognised as an ambitious project to extend the coastline of the Emirate, the Palm Jumeirah has now completed its freehold properties and many are already being lived in, but many are also up for sale. Property buyers can choose between villas or apartments on the Palm Jumeirah, as there are shoreline apartments that overlook the Arabian Sea and feature communal beachfront as part of the project, and signature villas that come with their own private beach. Obviously owning a villa with its own private beach is costly, but the signature villas are very well finished, spacious and designed for luxury living, complete with private swimming pool too!
Jumeirah Beach Residence
The Jumeirah Beach Residence, or JBR, is another project by Palm developer Nakheel that seems to focus its developments on the Dubai coastline. JBR is a more affordable option for Dubai property buyers, as there are different varieties of apartments available here, from small and comfortable, to spacious and even double story. The Jumeirah Beach Residence is an immense apartment project that comes with great amenities for residents and prime beachfront as well.
The World Islands
For most people, this is not really going to be an option, as this project, again by Nakheel, is catering for the super rich. This project features a number of manmade islands off the coast in the shape of the world map, and investors can buy the islands to build what they want on them.  As the project can only be reached by seaplane and boat, many people wouldn’t even dream of this as a future property option, but some of the buyers are planning to build hotels and tourist attractions, which may draw your interest.
The Waterfront
Here is a project that is still several years away, but should fall in line with Nakheel’s other coastline developments. The Waterfront is set to be even more ambitious than the Palm Jumeirah and Palm Jebel Ali, featuring a manmade port, commercial districts and many other sub-developments. Freehold residential property will be available here; both apartments and villas, and we cannot wait to see the full plans!
