Great Shopping In Dubai

Dubai is definitely a shopper’s paradise apart from it`s great Dubai real estate market, with the best international chain stores, unique finds, not to mention the golf shops! For anyone that is visiting the Emirate, or moving here, there are a few shopping destinations that you really need to check out for their great selections and entertainment features, so here is just a few.Mall of the Emirates
This is one of the newest of Dubai’s shopping malls, and the largest too! The Mall of the Emirates is home to some of the world’s leading department stores, a hypermarket, cinema, and an artificial ski park. For those that want to shop, dine out then go for a bit of skiing, the Mall of the Emirates is the perfect place to go!
Deira City Center
City Center was one of the first popular large shopping malls, and still continues to pull in a lot of shoppers. As City Center is on the other side of the city from Mall of the Emirates, it is filled with some of the same shops, as well as some different ones for a bit of variety. There are a great number of restaurants here, not to mention a huge multiplex cinema. With the amount of traffic in Dubai, Deira City Center is sure to keep its customers as getting across the bridge can be a difficult task at times.
Festival City
This completely new development is located right next to the Creek and offers a large amount of new and different shops for residents and visitors. There is a large entertainment section here, so it’s not all about shopping, and one of the nicest features of this shopping mall is the outside waterway, which has boat rides, and separates a great selection of restaurants and licensed bars.
Dubai Mall
We don’t know what to expect from this mall, except something spectacular. The mall is not open yet, but as it is said to be the largest shopping mall in the world, we are expecting the biggest selection of leading shops available, not to mention some great entertainment features. There is also said to be a giant aquarium at the center of this project, and there will be access to a viewing level in the Burj Dubai, world’s tallest building, but only time will tell how good this shopping mall is.
The Gold Souk
Finally, as Dubai is the city of gold, it is worth a visit to the gold souk to pick up some bargains on jewellery. It’s very important to haggle and enjoy the friendly atmosphere, as well are experiencing the old and new versions of the souks. The old souk is located in Deira and also has a traditional spice souk next door, if the modern take on Dubai is a bit too much for you, while the new gold souk is located near the Mall of the Emirates in Al Barsha.
