Dubai PropertyWith so much real estate for sale in Dubai, it’s often a good idea to choose the project you wish to buy within based on the real estate developer.  There are numerous local and foreign freehold developers on the Dubai property market, and finding a developer that offers a high standard of service and quality with their projects is vital.  Most of the major projects on the freehold market are from just a handful of key developers, while some of the smaller; more niche developments may be more to your taste.

Emaar is the flagship developer of Dubai, the first Emirate of the UAE to introduce freehold property to expatriates.  As a result, Emaar is responsible for a large number of projects available on the market, particularly a high degree of finished developments.  The Dubai Marina was the first project to be launched in Dubai, and the first project for Emaar, with the Emirates Living Community, Emaar Towers and The Greens quickly following.  Emaar’s focus has become more concentrated at this stage, with the major Downtown Burj Dubai project under construction and with the first residences already completed.  This project represents a change for Emaar, that has previously been responsible for developments on a smaller scale, and particularly villa developments.

The other major developer in the Emirate is Nakheel, now the largest developer in Dubai.  Nakheel has quickly taken the initiative to construct a large variety of projects all across the Emirate, that suit all different tastes and budgets.  From the Palm Jumeirah to the under construction Palm Jebel Ali and World Islands, Nakheel has delivered a high degree of diverse property that you can’t find anywhere else.  More affordable projects such as Jumeirah Village, International City and Discovery Gardens have given property buyers a high degree of choice in more affordable developments.  With the Jumeirah Beach Residence, Jumeirah Islands and in the next decade The Waterfront development, Nakheel has the largest portfolio of property on the market.

Don’t just limit your scope to these major developers, as there are many more that may be building exactly what you are looking for.  Dubai Holding Company is the next big developer in Dubai, with projects such as Business Bay and Dubailand under construction right now.  Many other developers have projects within the many larger developments on the Dubai property Market.  Damac, Schon, Sama Dubai, Deyaar, Omniyat, Union Properties and others are reputable, smaller developers that can offer you the same high standards, but with more exclusive offerings, you can find a property that is a little bit different.
