Dubai Mall U.A.E.

Dubai is widely recognised for great shopping.  With the Ibn Battuta Mall located near key freehold developments like Discovery Gardens and Jumeirah Islands, while the Mall of the Emirates is close to the Palm Jumeirah and Dubai Marina two of Dubai real estate`s main projects, the latest shopping mall that will open in Dubai will be in the middle of Downtown Dubai.  The Dubai Mall, which will be Dubai’s largest shopping mall, and the largest in the world, is set to be opened in August this year.

Multiple attractions are a feature of Dubai’s shopping malls, and the Dubai Mall will be no exception.  With over 1200 retail outlets, including major stores and two flagship department stores, this will be the largest retail space in the world, covering a massive 12 million square feet.  With restaurants, cafes, entertainment centres, and so much more, residents of the Burj Dubai Downtown district will be eagerly awaiting the completion of this central piece of infrastructure.  While many of the surrounding freehold developments at Downtown are not yet finished, there are many residents already there, and set to move in over the summer months, so the opening of Dubai Mall will be welcomed by district residents.

The main attraction at the Dubai Mall will be the access to the Burj Dubai viewing platform.  While the Burj Dubai has been plagued by construction delays, due to the changing of plans to make the iconic skyscraper taller, once it is completed at the end of 2009, visitors will be able to go to the highest viewing platform on earth.  Also an important part of the Mall’s design is The Grove, which will be a part of the mall where the roof is retractable, to reveal an open-air walk when the weather is suitable.  With more than 120 food and beverage outlets, a 5 star hotel attached to the mall and 70 signature fashion outlets, the Dubai Mall is the perfect addition to what will be a vibrant Downtown community.
