Al Furjan By Nakheel

Major developer Nakheel has just announced a joint venture freehold project with Al Shafar Transport and Contracting Company.  The partnership is for the construction of around 300 villas within the Al Furjan development. 

Al Furjan is one of Nakheel’s latest projects, and will be located close to other established Nakheel developments such as Jumeirah Islands and Discovery Gardens.  This popular district of new Dubai real estate is proving a popular district with many freehold buyers, and this latest project of a villa community is expected to compete with the nearby Emirates Living Community by Emaar.  The entire Al Furjan project will feature approximately 4000 homes when complete, with multiple agreements with other constructions firms to contribute to the project. 

Al Furjan will be an extensive residential project, expected to house about 90,000 people once complete, and will feature a mixture of villas, combined with apartments, commercial space, shops and hotels.  Following on from the success of other family living environments, this project is expected to prove highly popular with families in particular, however, given the extensive demand for freehold on the Dubai real estate market, all property investors will be hoping to buy within such a development. 

The project construction is due to start this year, during the third quarter, and the ambitious timetable expects that completion will occur at the end of 2010.  The Al Furjan residences should enter completion around the same time as Jumeirah Village and Jumeirah Park, which are also located near this district; so that Dubai’s residential properties will form a new vibrant community outside the heart of the city.
