More Properties Announced For Dubai Waterfront

The Dubai Waterfront, despite being the largest land reclamation project ever to be attempted, seems have been keeping a relatively low profile for a project of this magnitude. For starters the freehold development when completed will be twice as large as Hong Kong Island! Covering some 1.4 billion square feet, the figures for this development are just staggering! Adding another 70KM to Dubai’s coastline, the island will provide work and homes to an estimated 1.5 million people. With 3.52 million cubic meter of sand being laid down every month, things here are certainly moving quickly. A development of this size is truly groundbreaking, and really will define what is conceived as possible for real estate in Dubai.

But clearly such a development takes a long time to build. Just finishing the land reclamation alone is a daunting task, and then of course has to come the infrastructure, and then of course the real estate! This mega project is being built in numerous stages, and it is understandable that completion is estimated for around 2020. This might go someway to explaining why a project of this size, whilst still generating quite a lot of publicity has yet to really explode out the blocks. However another factor may be the lack of information on the freehold property projects to be based here. We know of the 750meter tower, Al Burj, which will be built here in the Madinat Al Arab area. This is certainly going to be one impressive tower, and will be the focal point of the area. But other property development news is a little more scarce at the present time.

However Plus Properties have now started to get things underway with two towers of Dubai apartments planned to be built at the Dubai Waterfront. Both located at the Madinat Al Arab area, Pixel Tower and Wave Residence 1 look to make their mark at what will become the world’s most prestigious waterfront location. Taking its name from its wave inspired exterior design, Wave Residence 1 will be located right on the beach at Madinat Al Arab, and will offer freehold apartments with gardens featuring pools or Jacuzzis!  Pixel Tower is set to be an ultra modern tower that will offer apartments, villas and duplex penthouses. With much more property here expected to be launched in the near future, this is one development to keep your eyes on!
