Property Outlook For Dubai In 2009 Not So Bad?

Dubai Real EstateDubai has been short on good news of late compared to the floods of positivity that are normally emitted from the small Emirate, and given all that is going on in the world, I suppose it comes as not a huge surprise. Dubai may have held off the external economic problems for a while, but eventually it has been dragged in like the rest of the globe. Things here could certainly be a lot worse, just look across to the USA and UK, but Dubai is unused to such things, and as a result all this has come as a rather large shock to the system for many. However don’t despair quite yet as not all of the media is following the idea that it is panic time in Dubai. The Sunday Times has recently predicted that the property outlook in Dubai isn’t so bad after all! The paper states that due to a number of situations, they forecast the Dubai real estate market should continue to expand in 2009.

Whether this prediction proves to be true or not we shall have to wait and see, but is good to see some of the media remain objective, perhaps something some of local media here could also bare in mind. The report states that in spite of the credit crunch and economic slowdown that you may have noticed is going on at the moment, everyone involved in Dubai properties is trying to overcome these new problems by adapting and expanding the range of buyers which it is targeting to invest in freehold property in the Emirate. Dubai has a number of luxury golf developments under construction, many of which are supported by some of the biggest names in golf, and it golf and these type of golf resorts that the paper claims will be the next big thing in real estate.

Dubai Burj Al ArabAnd then with an already large and diverse range of freehold property on offer, the increasing trend of ‘eco homes’ here in Dubai is also helping attract a new type of buyer to the market place. And also with a strong vision, local wealth plus government intervention, Dubai it states should be able to continue to push forward in the next year, and that the freehold real estate market here should continue to grow.  This would all be great if it can happen. We will just have to watch and wait for the answer.
