Dubai Palm Overview:

The Dubai Palm is one of Dubai’s most innovative property developments, and the flagship development to extend the Dubai coastline.  The original Palm, the Palm Jumeirah, is one of a trilogy, with the Palm Jebel Ali and Palm Deira due for completion over the next decade.  At present, the Palm Jumeirah is home to many property owners of villas, apartments and town homes, and yet more residents will move in as the final infrastructure and hotels are finished. 
The Dubai Palm covers an area of 5 kilometres by 5 kilometres, consists of a trunk, crown with 17 fronds and a surrounding crescent-shaped island that acts as a breakwater.  The project has successfully added an extra 78 kilometres to the Dubai coastline, with the Palm Jebel Ali expecting to add even more as it is 50% larger than the original Dubai Palm.  For many Dubai property buyers, the opportunity to own a piece of this prestigious development has led to a high level of demand for the various projects that occupy the entire development. 

There are over 4,000 residences on the Palm Jumeirah, consisting of luxury villas, apartments and town homes, all dotted along the manmade beachfront.  There are two types of villas available at the Dubai Palm, garden villas and signature villas.  The former offer buyer’s luxury, unique design and space, as well as private pools.  The signature villas are the jewels of the entire project, with spacious luxury interiors to suit the buyer, private pools, landscaped gardens and most importantly private beachfront.  The town homes add to the diversity of properties on the Palm Jumeirah, and are spacious enough for small families. 

There are a large range of apartments on the Dubai Palm, including apartments from Nakheel, and exclusive private developers as well as Atlantis.  There are studio, one, two and three bedroom apartments, as well as a limited number of penthouses, with all apartments offering fantastic vistas of the Arabian Sea or the beautiful landscaped gardens. 

The Dubai Palm will feature a large range of leisure facilities for residents, as well as essential amenities including shops, restaurants and cafes.  There will be a number of hotels spaced out across the crescent-shaped breakwater, which are linking to the mainland via an underwater tunnel.  Many of the hotels are approaching completion now and some openings are due at the end of this year.
