The International Property Market

I thought I would share a snapshot of the level of activity within the overseas property market with you. August proved to be an interesting month for First Property Choice as a company, the biggest surprise was the volume of enquiries for property in La Zagaleta. Although we have good SERP for many of the associated keyphrases for this development it ended up being our second most searched real estate selection.

Top of the tree for us was Calabria and again even though we have a strong presence on the search engines for this area there was 5% more traffic than the number two spot. This region still offers some well priced properties, however some projects we have looked into are a little too much per sq. metre given that this should still be regarded as an emerging market.

Lower priced properties in Spain came in the number three position, although it is difficult to compare because we are just below the top 4 results on Google for our chosen keyphrases. The appetite for finding a bargain on the Costa del Sol is high, we are finding that even though vendors are becoming more realistic in their asking prices, some buyers are expecting huge reductions and are therefore dissapointed when sellers don´t want to drop further.

Our focus in the coming months will be the Turkish property market as, we believe you can get a lot of real estate for your money.  We have already found some excellent properties within the Bodrum area and will be building our porfolio considerably.

As always there has been an increase in activity on our site at the start of September and with some of the mildly positive economic signs we envisage this to continue until the beginning of December.
