Default Services Certification

The Inaugural BPO (Broker Price Opinion) Certification and Training was offered September 10, 2006 at the Dallas FiveStar Default Servicing Conference and EXPO. Out of the 800+ attendees, only a hand full were present from the Memphis area. The curriculum was developed by Integrated Asset Services, Inc and Foos and Associates Appraisers.
This is the beginning of the new standard in BPO/REO training and certification. With improvements and increasing standards sure to come, this certification will become standard operating procedure for any Realtor in pursuing a true development and career in the BPO/REO industry.
Ed Pierce is the current Default Services Manager for RE/MAX at Mallard Creek and affiliate offices. The BPO/REO Department is headquartered at the new RE/MAX at Mallard Creek office located at 3675 Southwind Park CV Suite 104, Memphis TN 38125.

To my knowledge, and their announcement; that was the first training designed for default services training. At least by a national entity. Sign up for DSNews. They were the promoter of the convention and would most likely be announcing any other certifications in the future. The training was put together mainly by Integrated Asset Services, a default services company, so you may want to shoot them an email as well. I wish you the best of luck. Are you aware of any other training offered in the near future for Default Servicing Certificate? I am an agent in NW Georgia and I have been servicing REO properties for about 9 years. I would like to find a company nearby that might be offering the course but have been unable to find one.
