In the past week I have been asked about six times what my website, http://www.michaelpennisi.com, offers that may be of interest to check out. It just so happens that one of my blogs, “The Buying Process Part 1″ was selected to be featured on Realtor.com’s Let’s Talk Real Estate Section. Just in case your interested the link is “The Buying Process Part 1″ .
This feature not only inspired an immediate increase in traffic to my site, but has also caused a number of clients, co-workers, and friends to gain an interest in what I have to offer through my website in addition to my real estate blog. Depending on the individual I answered different things and each topic seemed to spark an interesting conversation about various different aspects of my business.
The homeowners or sellers seemed most interested in three pages. The first is my Market Stats page because it includes the real estate statistics of every home sold in each of the towns I cover for the past year. Of course every seller wants to know what his/her neighbor’s house sold for. The second page of interest seemed to be the annual Market Trends for these communities. Learning about the average days on market, list to sale price ratio, and rate of appreciation is also on the top of their priority list. The third page was actually my home page which offers a section dedicated to the Broker Statistics in our area. It’s a good thing most sellers trust the market leader because every little bit helps.
The buyers and people just curious about real estate seemed to be most intrigued by a few different pages. The first, of course, is the free access to the Garden State MLS. It’s amazing how much buyers enjoy searching for homes across the state. The second page of interest is my Community Information page. This page is definately a favorite for buyers because it offers tools like Community Reports, School Reports, Information about New Jersey, Information about Summit, NJ, information about a number of other communities in our area, and the links to every private school in the vicinity. For those buyers who were more interested in learning about the real estate market I suggested visiting my page for buyers . Equipped with articles covering such topics as “The Best Investment” , “Home Buying Tips” , and “Why to Use a Realtor” my buyers are able to become more better educated about the buying process before actually writing an offer.
Although I feel the site covers a broad spectrum of topics to stimulate all real estate related appetites I will admit that it is far from finished. I will continue to build new and useful content to meet the needs of my clients. In fact over the course of this week and the many website related conversations I have already begun to formulate new ideas for future content. I am also eager to hear any possible suggestions from my readers. Remember I am to meet the needs of my clients so I always welcome your opinion.
I look forward to hearing for you.
