Two bedroom apartment for rent in Honolulu
Posted Nov 21, 2008 @ 1:20 am, Viewed by 570 Visitors, Read 592 Times. This apartment is just getting its finishing touches after being rented for over a year. It's located at 2567 Laau Street in Honolulu. The building is named Iolani Banyan and it was constructed in 1962. It's a three story walk-up. There are a total of 48 units at this property.
My wife and I lived here for a year until we moved into our house in Palolo Valley. This is a quiet apartment with views of the swimming pool and the Iolani School campus. Located in the Kapahulu area, it's perfect for people wanting a place in town close to the University of Hawaii.
The apartment has two bedrooms, one bathroom and two parking stalls. Two parking stalls for an apartment in town is a rarity. Rent is $1,450 per month.
For people looking for a rental before they buy a home in Honolulu, this would be a great place to start. No need to worry about being locked into a lease, when you close on a home purchase (using me as your real estate agent) and you move out, the rent stops on the day you vacate - whatever day that turns out to be.

Here's the kitchen. The refrigerator and stove (not pictured) are about a two years old. |
The living room leads to the lanai. The lanai has a view of the swimming pool. There's a storage closet on the lanai. |
Note the laminate flooring in the kitchen and living room. There's an air conditioner in the living room, above the lanai door.

One of the two bedrooms. Both bedrooms have ceiling fans and large closets with mirrored doors. |
From the lanai, here's a view of the swimming pool through the palm trees and flowers. |

From the front door, view the Iolani School campus. The house on the left is staff quarters. |
Here's the property from the street. Walk to the back and take the stairway upstairs. Our unit does not face the street. |
Some people get turned off by the industrial look of the street. For that reason, I saved the street view for last. The property is cute, quiet and centrally located. The resident manager lives on the ground floor near this unit. Coin washer and dryer are located on our floor and there are only three other units on the floor that share them. Getting the laundry done is pretty easy.
