Something odd at Makaha Valley Plantation

I picked up a customer at Honolulu Airport on Saturday and took them out to Makaha Valley Plantation. They had recently purchased a unit at the Plantation and this was their first time seeing it in person.
We arrived at the Plantation and checked out their unit. They were very happy with the purchase and have a long term plan of living there. Taking a look around, we noticed something odd in the neighboring building. The top floor (of the three story building) was missing its walls in some spots - both the exterior and interior walls! The insides of the top floor appeared to be gutted. The second and first floors also showed damage.
I walked around, looking for a resident to ask what happened. It was a lazy afternoon and there was hardly anybody outside - I guess they were at the beach or went shopping. As we drove out I stopped to ask a security guard about the building. He told me a water main broke on Kili Drive recently. The water shot up in the air, across the street and hit the building. The spout of water did a whole lot of damage to the "87" stack (87A, 87B and 87C). I think the City and County of Honolulu might be responsible for this - we'll see what the board of directors says.
Makaha Valley Plantation has some of the most affordable townhomes on Oahu. This property is located on the west end near two golf courses. The famous Makaha Beach (with big waves in the winter) is a few miles away.
