Metrolist Restricting Use Of Term 'MLS'
Metrolist, Inc. of Colorado has recently notified its vendors of a change to their MLS Rules & Regulations to restriction the use of the term 'MLS' in its members' URL's, brokerage names, domain names, email addresses, or in any other way that may misrepresent themselves as the MLS. All current uses of such terms must cease no later than October 31st, 2008. The new rules states:

Read Full PostLas Vegas MLS Allows Foreclosure/Short Sales/Repo Listings
In an announcement this morning, the Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors has notified all of its IDX web vendors about the upcoming addition of new fields to the IDX data feed. These fields will allow web vendors to indicate which listings are in Foreclosure, are Short Sales, and Reposession listings. The fields will be available in the data feed within the next 15 days.

In an email update this morning, Real Estate Webmasters has been informed that Metrolist, Inc. of Colorado will be adding a designation for Short Sales to the IDX data feed. The update will take place on September 18th, 2008. This will allow Metrolist IDX clients from REW to feature short sales on their IDX's.

In an effort to make the life of an IDX vendor like Real Estate Webmasters less hectic, the Realtor Association of Northwestern Wisconsin is ensuring that Open House records expire once the date of the open house has passed. They are enforcing this criteria on their end, so we will not likely have to update our framework to take advantage of the change.

The Realtor® Association of Northwestern Wisconsin (RANWW) and MLS have just announced that their agent members will now be allowed to have IDX solutions on their websites. This will require broker authorization and the completion of the appropriate licensing paperwork. This is great news for all members of the RANWW! The East Bay Regional Data, Inc. on Monday, May 5th, will be extending the size of their remarks fields from 255 to 512 characters for the Mobile Homes, Residential Income and Lease Rental-type listings.
All REW clients will automatically receive this upgrade and should see this change sometime after May 5th.

The Garden State MLS has informed all IDX FTP Providers, such as Real Estate Webmasters, of an upgrade to their IDX data feed to include more data and more frequent updates. The new data totals more than 180 new fields across all property types including:
- Amenities
- Flooring
- Handicap Modified
- Parking Spaces
- Pets Allowed
- Roof
- Siding
- to name a few...
