Remarks But No Virtual Tours For Carolina MLS
The CMLS, on May 24th, approved the use of two new fields in their North Carolina MLS. The two were remarks and virtual tour URL's. In an effort to prevent browsers of the listings from unintentionally visiting the listing agent's site by way of the virtual tour URL, they insisted on a routine of having the virtual tours open in a new window with the address bar disabled. Not long afterwards they discovered that Microsoft was not going to make their job easy and has removed the ability to disable the address bar in their new browser, Internet Explorer 7, in a attempt to prevent malicious content and phishing. So, until such time as CMLS finds a workaround, their listings will only have added a remarks field.

FMLS Photo Issues
From FMLS:
"This message is sent to all FMLS technical personnel of record that access FTP.
1). As most are probably aware of by now, numerous photos have been discovered to be missing over the past few months from the FTP service that Marketlinx supplies to you on the behalf of FMLS. This notice is to advise you that Marketlinx believes they have now found and addressed the core issue that has been causing this. Accordingly, Marketlinx will tonight start updating the FTP Photos/All and Photos/Incremental folders with any photos found to be missing. They will NOT be providing a separate "Catchup" folder this time as has sometimes been done in the past. To try to avoid any one day's incremental folder from becoming excessively large and… Read Full Post

This is a courtesy notice to notify you that 3 new areas (features) have been added to the lookup field 'Area' .
84 - ORG-Lake Marion Area

88 - CLR-Lake Marion Area
Also, a reminder to always check the log files that are associated with the data files in case any features under lookup fields have been changed. Although we will notify you when fields are added to the database that notification does not include the addition or changes to features within lookup fields. As a courtesy, we will attempt to notify web developers when feature changes occur that are out of the ordinary but due to schools, streets, etc. constantly being added it is the web developers responsibility to check… Read Full Post
Fort Myers Listing Change
A change has been performed on the Realtors ® Association of Great Fort Myers and the Beach MLS. This update will break most feeds as the listing agent name field has been split into the Agent Last, Agent First, Middle and Nickname fields. This was done before the weekend (04/12/07).
Unfortunately, notice of this change was not made (at least to REW) until 4 days after the changes. Make sure you contact your technology partner or RAGFMB or Real Estate Webmasters to make sure your website has not been affected. Read Full Post

MarketLinx Server Changes Break Data Files
According to MarketLinx:
"Please be advised that MarketLinx has been working diligently to correct an issue with the IDX data feed. Unfortunately as a result of the server changes that took place Monday night, the data files that get send out each night have not been updating properly. Programming is in the process of sending out a Full Photo File right now.
Once you process the new files and update your site(s), any missing listings and photo issues should be resolved."
These appear to only affect the Vermont IDX data push, but stay tuned for further details, if any.
