New Look Real Estate Directory:
We have a new design for our real estate directory that will make visitors much more likely to click on your listing, but that is not all! The format for directory listings will be changing with a much greater emphasis on quality of submission and enticing click through to our Realtor members websites.  Instead of the standard html text link followed by a description, your directory listings will now have many more displayed elements such as member photo, phone number, company info, links to website, listings and contact page as well as a search engine friendly text link. Well the new REW directory is coming out soon and we need to put some final touches on the way listed agents and brokers are displayed.

Here are my ideas:

The agents will be listed with a photo or logo,  and the following in a business card style much like we have right now for our featured agents. A much greater focus needs to be placed on getting people to contact our members, not just provide them backlinks.

So for the business card part we will need the members to submit the following:

• Photo or Logo
• Phone Number (And Mobile if they like)
• Email Address
• Physical Address (If they wish)
• Office Name / Broker Office (Like REMAX Boulder or whatever)
• Link to Website
• Link to Listings
• Writeup - we don't want…

One of the things many posters don't take the time to do is use images in their blogs. Readers love images, and by integrating images into your blogs you will capture your readers attention more, and they will come back more often to see what interesting articles (Supported with images) you have posted. Submitting to DMOZ is always a good idea, even if it takes quite some time to get accepted. The reasons for this is that not only do you get a high quality backlink from DMOZ which is one of the oldest true authority directories on the web, you also get backlinks from websites that use the DMOZ to supplement their directories via the DMOZ dump which is available to anyone willing to adhere to the DMOZ dump terms of service.
