Right now after you create a post, it posts it and then you are given just a "visit your blog" link - I think the backend should have options like - "Publish and continue working" or publish and view page etc - going to have to get some feedback on this as I am not sure if it is just me or this would be cool :) Read Full Post

One of the cool features of the REW blog are the smilies, I think it would be good for V2 to be able to import new smilies, or maybe just compile a library of smilies that users can choose on setup or maybe afterwards, I dunno Read Full Post

Just working on the functionality of the blogs, and figuring out the categories structure. Right now I am just planning on having a checkbox similar to wordpress so that when you make a post it gets assigned to that category, or if you don't choose a category there would be a misc, or main category that it defaults to.

Now - do I assign to just one cat, or many? If so, how would this logic work? Also, one would likely want to be able to move a post from one cat to the next, does this post keep the same URL, or do we have to have it so that the URL reflects the category that it is contained in. I was thinking if we just base it on postcount or order, and then just have a flag that controls the sub navigation then there are no URL issues ... just… Read Full Post

This is a reminder to make sure we have custom blog skins in our backend or at least the choice of several different skins, maybe for version 2 we will be able to allow users to control certain elements of the skin, this might require write permissions that I dont want to set because of a MASSIVE SECURITY RISK but hey you never know. ;-) Read Full Post
