Promo hours available 25% bonus - take advantage of your dollar
It's promotion time again at Real Estate Webmasters, and this one's timeframe is quite unpredictable so you will want to act quickly.
As many of you know, Real Estate Webmasters is a Canadian company that (due to 99.5% of our clients being US based) charges in US dollars. Also for those of you who watch the markets, you will know that the Canadian dollar (compared to US) has been doing very well this year (which is bad for us) so much so, that we seriously considered increasing our rates - I however decided that I would keep prices fixed and ride out our unusually high dollar trend.
Great news - Our dollar sucks again!
You will see from the screenshot below that "currently" we are enjoying extremely high exchange rates - (At the time that I write this 1 US dollar buys $1.19 Canadian - WOOHOO!) So I figured I would pass this benefit we are currently enjoying onto our valued customers, and our soon to be customers.

So here's the deal...
I have authorized a "purchased hours bonus" of 25% for all "new" hours purchased during this current exchange rate bounty. So basically for every 100 hours you purchase, you get 25 for free (Basically $2500 of free work)
Some rules / limitations: (yeah, yeah again with the rules)
- Hours must be purchased in blocks of 5 or more.
- Hours must be applied to "new" work orders.
- A maximum of 3000 hours will be made available, 1000 per department (programming, writing, design)
- Hours will only be available until such time as the US Dollar dips below $1.10 Canadian (this is where the volatility comes in - so get your orders in right away!)
- You cannot purchase any promo hours if your account has a balance owing (This must be paid in full first)
The last hours promotion we had sold out very quickly, and as with all REW promotions, it is first come, first served and when the hours or gone, or the dollar gains past it's limit, the promotion will be over, so act fast!
What about products, they aren't hours based?
Ah sure why not! (Can you tell I am feeling good right now)
For the same timeframe:
Setup of REW Template website $499 USD (Normally $740 USD)
Setup of REW CORE IDX $1500 USD (Normally $2500 USD)
Setup of LEC V 1.0 $6500 USD (Normally $8000 USD)
Setup of LEC V 2.0 $8000 USD (Normally $10,000 USD)
But I just purchased one or more of the products above can I get a deal? Yes - you can take advantage of this promotion for "new" work, just like all other members but it is not retroactive. Feel free to purchase as many hours (within the limit) as you like so that you may further augment your project. But if the question is, can you get a discount, then no - it's a promotion, and it only applies to "new" orders - (I get asked this every time I run a promo so I have to put it in there).
As with all promos please use the comments section of this blog entry to ask your questions, and place your order (if I am your assigned rep) this is the only way I can realistically be able to address everyone in a timely manner and ensure you can get your order in "under the wire" as it were. If you are assigned to another sales rep (Craig Matty, or Ryland Wellwood) please feel free to contact them directly if you wish.
History will repeat itself...
There has never been an hours limited REW promotion that did not sell out within the week it was posted so please make sure you get your signed authorizations in right away - there are always those at the end of these promotions left on the outside looking in because they put off faxing in their auths or making their payments in time - it is first come first served and also has that unpredictable exchange rate clause.
Thank you all for your orders, and thank you Mr whoever is in charge of making sure our dollar is in the tank, perhaps I am not very Canadian because I am rooting for the other team, but hey, if we can take advantage and our customers benefit as well - then I say keep the Canadian dollar down!
Have a great week guys and gals.

Love it!
Had my eye on the REW Blog enhancement: for a while:

Looks like the promotion will get me the RSS Snippet Reader for free . . . no?
Thanks again for another great promotion (I have built almost my entire website around them).
Morgan, consider this an order.
Put me down for 20 hour purchased.
That should come to 25 hour credit, right?
I'll take 10 hours, for some of the things we talked about yesterday. I'll send you an email with specifics.
Thanks,
Cal
I would like to jump on this to get a little work done for a work order that I have posted here:
http://www.realestatewebmasters.com/thread29228.html
Thanks for the great promo Morgan. I may try to add to this if it doesn't sell out first!
Hi, Thanks for the promo!
What is LEC V1 and LEC V2...
Lou, it's 25% bonus - so if you buy 10 hours, you actually get a credit for 12.5 on your account etc so yes, you would certainly be getting the RSS reader for free (it's only an hour I think) - I will need to know how many hours you want Lou
Josh that is correct, 20 hours purchased gets you 25 (if our math is right this morning)
Calum you got it! - I look forward to receiving your email.
Ryan, same for you, I need to know how many hours you would like.
Celeste, LEC stands for "limited edition custom" - it's a one per market area custom design, that myself and the team design and includes full integration of our most popular features, the high end customer design, and an IDX that has a significant amount of programming past CORE - more info here: http://www.realestatewebmasters.com/lec/
LEC V 1.0 - you can see a live demo at http://www.bocahome.com
LEC V 2.0 - was just released, so non are live yet, but a demo can be viewed at dev190.rewtemplates.com (user, pass is rew / rew to get into the IDX portion)
LEC v 2.0 has already been purchased in your area (It's one per major city) so your only option would be LEC V 1.0.
Morgan, I'll send you an email as well with the specifics of the work I want done.
Thanks!
I'll take a 10 hour block, I'm sure I can burn through that by the end of the year.
Sweet! I'll take 15 hours. I know I am going to be burning through some hours with the new LEC. Do I need to do anything else, or will Holly just send me an invoice?
Well if the REW Blog install and skin is 3 and the RSS is 1 . . . I guess I'll take 3 . . . right?
Lou, sorry there is a minimum order of 5 hours
From the post:
- Hours must be purchased in blocks of 5 or more.
- Hours must be applied to "new" work orders.
- A maximum of 3000 hours will be made available, 1000 per department (programming, writing, design)
- Hours will only be available until such time as the US Dollar dips below $1.10 Canadian (this is where the volatility comes in - so get your orders in right away!)
- You cannot purchase any promo hours if your account has a balance owing (This must be paid in full first)
What happened to the Loonie? The decline is going to drive away Canadian customers from buying in the U.S.
gotchya
OK Morgan, I'll take 10 hours...
Posted my thread in the work orders section - I hope that was where I needed it to go...
Either is fine Ryan, thanks
Morgan: I am in for the new template site with IDX that we spoke of on oour Tuesday call..
I will send you an email with all the details by end of day tomorrow. Thanks for making the decision easy for me.
Tom W.
Sounds good Tom, I look forward to receiving your specs.
Thanks
Whatever happened to the days when Morgan ran a sale just because he loved us?
Craig has my order....the extra time Morgan spent to install the $ chart sold me. I am just hopeful that my business goes the opposite direction after the new site!
Hey Morgan,
I'd like to take 12 hours.
I'm not sure of the breakdown (design vs programming), but I want to do some of things we talked about last week along with a few others. I'll put it together here shortly and send it to you.
sounds good Ben, we have lots of hours left, so you don't really have to have an absolute breakdown. I will have Holly invoice you
Thanks
Hey Morgan
Sign me up for 5 hours
Thank you
Ted
Ummmmm I would love to, but... I am going to need more info that just "Ted" - can you help me out here?
Morgan,
I had some questions about purchasing the base template and IDX. Is there someone I should contact?
Thanks,
Kevin
Ask away bud, that's what this blog post is for
What questions did you have?
Here are some I have been thinking of. Some may be covered on other pages but I did not see the answers.
How many hours does it take to setup the base template and IDX?
I guess my biggest question is what am I able to change?
If I create the content am I able to upload it?
Is there a backend of the website template or is it all .php?
Does initial IDX setup populate the towns on the homepage of the template?
Does the base IDX offer the ability to set registration preferences?
Are page titles and meta created by the base IDX manager or is that an add-on?
Is each form able to be setup by me or would that require a workorder?
Is there a page where I can view additional addons to the base setup?
Please bill me for 10 promo hours.
How many hours does it take to setup the base template and IDX?
Hours are not relevant, as these are products so billable hours do not apply. If you are asking about delivery time, a template is as fast as 48 hours but 5 days on average (so you can get to work on content right away) IDX is generally 3 weeks "after" we receive raw data feed approval.
I guess my biggest question is what am I able to change?
You are not able to be the designer or programmer on the site, so you can't change the hardcoded template design or IDX layout etc, as that code is off limits.
If I create the content am I able to upload it?
Absolutely - REW Templates come with REW 2.0 CMS (PM me for demo access if you like) you can add as many pages and sub pages of content as you like. Anywhere on any of our client websites that you see content, you have the ability to create. You control title, meta data, file name, and have either wysiwyg control or full html control on a page to page basis.
Is there a backend of the website template or is it all .php?
Answered above, yes there is a backend, REW CMS 2.0 PM me for demo.
Does initial IDX setup populate the towns on the homepage of the template?
On the homepage? Not sure what you mean, but I think the answer is no. Do you have an example? Included in the setup (At no extra charge) is the ability to select whatever cities you would like the main IDX city search to populate (Search by city, by zip, by MLS # and Google map search) are all included in CORE.
Does the base IDX offer the ability to set registration preferences?
By default you have 2 choices when we setup your IDX - on or off (this does not cost extra) if you have it on, we do it the REW (search engine friendly) way. This is ideal and has been tested many times, but if you wanted something more custom you would have to post a work order.
Are page titles and meta created by the base IDX manager or is that an add-on?
They are algorithm based and pull to reflect the information available on the property.
Is each form able to be setup by me or would that require a workorder?
The one form you can't access is the IDX registration form - all other forms you can access the raw code on via our snippet manager, however be warned, our forms are much more complex than most as there is a lot of code in there that allows connection to the REW lead management system (Also included)
Is there a page where I can view additional addons to the base setup?
Yes sir - I have started one here: http://www.realestatewebmasters.com/upgrades/
Any other questions?
Thanks Morgan!
Not that I can think of right now.
