A great big hello to all REW Bloggers.

This is the first official test of my REW Blogs updating system. I will be periodically sending updates to all REW Blog users with helpful tips, news on recent upgrades and releases, helpful threads on how to best use the REW blogs and much more.

So here goes, a couple of quick tips for you.

About yourself - when you are logged in to REW Blogs, you will see a link that goes to "Blog Settings" click on this and you will see that the second field you can fill in is the "About yourself" field. I have noticed a lot of members not filling in this field so I figured I would address this.

We need to create a system for allowing blog users to refer new bloggers. The goal would be to integrate some kind of points system - not just for blogs created, but extra points for posters that become great posters, highly ranked, top posters etc - would also be nice to tie it into the REW forum referrals - the goal would be to reward members for sending referrals like giving them free web work, hosting etc Read Full Post

It would be nice to have a stats link for logged in users. On there we could show them stats like most viewed post, most viewed category, most commented post.

Also total comments, total views etc

One of the first areas I want to address is the user info area at the top right of the blogs where the picture and about bio is. I don''t know exactly where and what to change, but I think it is lacking.

So where to start? The RSS feed image - it is small and not that pleasing, I had referenced another site at http://www.10e20.com/ I really like the look of their RSS feed graphic, I would like something like that, it just dresses up the blogs a lot more graphically.

Next the logo, right now it reads Real Estate Webmasters - I think it should read, REW Blogs. We still want to use the circle with green swishes, but changing the verbiage should reinforce the REW BLogs brand.

After much testing and user feedback we have now opened the REW Blogs to the public, now any real estate professional can apply for an REW blog and showcase their prowess as an internet savvy web 2.0 Realtor.

How to apply for an REW blog:

Go to the REW Forum and send a private message to the community administrator Morgan Carey (Member username webmaster) *You must be logged into the forum to send private messages
In your private message, put in the message title "Requesting an REW Blog" - And then in the body of the private message, you will need to provide your desired username, password and an email address to attach to the blog.
