Google, MSN, and Yahoo Local

Are you taking advantage of the local sections of the major search engines to advertise your business? If not you are missing a big opportunity. Google, MSN, and Yahoo all provide an opportunity to advertise in their Local sections and it is FREE. Signing up is very simple but you do have to verify that you actually have a physical location in the local area that you want to advertise. These local listings allow you market to a very specific area to reach the most qualified customers, those searching for your service in that specific geographical area. They show up at the top of the SERP and they also allow you to add additional information (like phone #, address, office hours, etc) as well as providing a map to your office. This allows potential clients to get everything they need to contact you including directions to your office. Did I mention it is FREE.
If you are not yet using these services you really should take the time to sign up. Here are the links that take you to the appropriate pages (with MSN you sign up at their partner localeze)

Yeah. MSN does not deliver much but they are all free and it only takes a few seconds to sign up. Might as well get all the free traffic you can IMO.
