Governor Schwarzenegger signed AB 183 approving $200 million for first time and new home buyer tax credits. The bill allocates $100 million for first-time home buyers and $100 million for purchasers of new homes. Buyers who close escrow on homes between May 1, 2010 and Dec., 31, 2010 will be able to take the allowed tax credit. Julia Morgan, mostly known for her 30 year (1919-42) collaboration with William Randolph Hearst on Hearst's castle in San Simeon, created over 700 structures, many, luckily for us, right here in the East Bay.
