Realtors and MLS Integration
Posted May 22, 2007 @ 12:42 am, Viewed by 523 Visitors, Read 552 Times. For us Realtors, it was sometimes frustrating that we couldn't access the listings in other counties in Northern California. Luckily, now we have a more integrated MLS that allows us to access the MLS listings in the Central Valley MLS, Bay East MLS and the Contra Costa MLS.
This is good for us because we can serve clients in these areas without having to become members of each individual MLS board. We've been waiting for this for a while and I"m glad the day has finally come, at least the first step anyhow. Ideally, we would have access to all listings in all Northern California Counties. This would be the best scenario, and hopefully that will be a reality in the near future.

Great BLOG! Congatulations. Yes the MLS sytems are expanding...but there is also trouble brewing. Home buyers in some Bay Area counties may be surprised to find out local Board of Realtors and Multiple Listing Services using Paragon software are actually removing data from the public portion of the MLS that helps borrowers purchase homes. The Contra Costa and Alameda Multiple Listing Service announced on its members website on June 13th that they were removing the "days on market field" from the public MLS system. So, the next time you type a home search into your favorite on-line property search engine for those MLS areas using Paragon you will no longer know how long a property has been on the market!
