Downtown Greenville's Multi-million dollar Falls Park

One of Greenville South Carolina’s main downtown attractions is Falls Park. The 4.5 million dollar Falls park is located just of Main Street in the heart of downtown Greenville.  The park brilliantly showcases modern architecture alongside the beauty of nature.

The parks modern history dates back to 1967 when the Carolina Foothills Garden Club reclaimed the park acreage. With the help of the City of Greenville, the Greenville Planning Commission, Furman University, and local and federal authorities, the Carolina Foothills Garden Club has worked to develop the park and clean up the Reedy River. Beginning in 1990 with the help of architect Andrea Mains, the park has been transformed into what it is today.

The pet friendly Falls Park boasts walking trails, the Liberty Bridge, water falls on the Reedy River, picnic areas, shelters, lush lawns, flowers, and plenty of shade trees for locals and tourists alike to enjoy.
