The Greenville Drive baseball games can be fun, affordable, entertainment for the whole family. Ticket prices are very affordable with reserve sitting tickets at $7 dollars and box seats for $8 dollars. The new stadium is conveniently located in Greenville South Carolina's Downtown West End.

The new Greenville Drive Stadium, now called Flour Field at West End, has been a hit with fans from the start.  In 2006 the Drive Stadium was named "Ballpark the Year" by ballpark.com . In 2007 attendance nearly reached 340,000 setting a new season record.

The concessions are good, the field is kept up, and the stands are clean and inviting. Overall its a wonderful atmosphere  that the entire family can enjoy!

The Cliffs Communities' Organic Gardens

As I mentioned in my last post, the Cliffs Communities staff invited us up for a grand tour of some of their world class facilities and amenities.  In the above picture, the Open House Realty group is getting a tour of the Cliffs Organic Gardens.  The food and herbs grown here are used to prepare meals at the various Cliffs Clubhouses.

Several green houses are used for organic growing during the winter of various vegetables and herbs. During spring, summer, and fall the surrounding acreage is used for growing. The gardens are truly organic with no pesticidies or synthetic fertilizers being used. This week I am going to be focusing on the Cliffs Communities which are premier, master planned golf communities with unparalleled amenities, located in Upstate South Carolina and Western North Carolina.

Greenville South Carolina Job Growth Exceeds Expectations

According to th Greenville News (April 13, 2008), Federal data for job growth show that between February 2007 and February 2008 Greenville job growth grew by 9,000 or 2.9 percent to 321,400.  This is the fourth best growth rate in the country with work forces of 200,000 or more.

Greenville's employment rate during the same period was five times the national average. As the Greenville News (Sunday April 30th) states, this makes Greenville "one of the top performing metros in the country in a pretty tough market," quoted Ross Moore, a research director for Boston-based Colliers International (a global commercial real estate brokerage).

The city of Greenville South Carolina continues to extend its greenway trail system within the city and county.  One of the extensions from Cleveland Park in downtown Greenville to Greenville Technical College will be open within a few months. Another section will extend from Pleasanburg Drive in Greenivlle to the Lake Conestee area

The city's trail system will eventually tap into the county's system and will include Furman University to Travelers Rest.  This section will be open in the next three months. Then Travelers Rest will connect to Downtown Greenville within six months.

These trails offer wonderful oppurtunities for  biking, walking, and running and will eventually connect some of Greenville Counthy's townships with the downtown…

I took this photo during lunch break while standing on the Liberty Bridge. Falls Park is a wonderful place to take a relaxing stroll during lunch or on the weekend. Its pet friendly and offers plenty of green space to enjoy.
