I am doing research for my daughter and son-in-law who will be relocating to the San Diego area. Their price limit is $400,000. They are a young family looking for an area where other young families reside. The 4 S Ranch area has come highly recommended. Are there other communities similar to this, possibly a little more affordable?
He will be working in Escondido on a 3-year project. They are interested in the North San Diego area -- Rancho Penasquitos, Rancho Bernardo possibly Vista. They are not interested in Escondido or Oceanside and would prefer to be closer to the 5 rather than the 15. They are curious about Carlsbad and other beach communities. As I'm sure everyone is, they are looking for a fixer-upper foreclosure in a nice neighborhood.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
