Canyons Resort Real Estate

The Canyons Resort area in Park City Utah is a great place to consider buying ski property.  It's in the early stages of development for a ski village area.   So now is a great time to buy.  Only  about 10% of what is planned for at the Canyons Specially Planned area has been built so there will be a lot of future growth.  As the Canyons grows so will the value of property in the resort area.  The Canyons Resort Village Master Association is planning on it becoming a year round destination with a golf course and  convention center in the plans.  The Canyons Resort is the largest ski resort in Utah and has the potential to eventually become the largest in North America.

There are many pre-construction opportunities to consider.  Some include condohotels with fabulous spas as well as some townhome projects that will border the upcoming golf course.  Some properties are even ski in ski out or a short walk to the lifts.  The ski in ski out properties are generally running around $800/per square foot which is a great value compared to other ski communities.  Many of the townhome projects are running around $600 /per square foot.  Most pre-construction projects at The Canyons Resort typically require only 10% down and the rest is due upon completion of the project.  Some projects are planned to be completed soon and some may finish in about 2 years.

Condos at The Canyons Resort continue to go up in value in 2005 the average sold price for a condo was $320,816, in 2006 the average sold price was $444,719 and so far as of April 2007 the 2007 average sold price is $511,482 from data obtained from the Park City MLS.
