Hey guys-- thanks everybody for the blogs feedback! We did expect some bug reports over the first few weeks and I've seen some being reported. I am going through some of the threads on the forum to find out what needs to be addressed (but) I'm afraid I might miss some of these. If you've found an error or display bug, could you please post as a comment to this thread and we can prioritize as we go through.

Please reserve this for actual bugs, we'll start a separate post for feature requests later.

As the *new year approches, it seems (to me) even easier to get lost in feelings of wonder and self-doubt. Sometimes I find it hard to believe that I am an **adult---with a child, a "wife" and a serious career.

Oh my God---what happened..? In any case, as adults, we look forward and we keep moving...but...

Why do we forget about the things that make us who we are?

The lucky ones (like me!) have chosen and progressed in a career that they are completly satisfied with. Perhaps, a family and enough to keep them waking up in the morning. But if you could do anything in the world, what would it be? I guess, the ultimate question of this holiday rant is:

what would make your life, a deliriously happy life?

You guys may have noticed that the display pictures now have a fixed size. As a result, many users pictures look distorted (and awful). We recommend that blog users resize their display pictures to 60 X 60px and upload. If you do not know how to do this, post a comment and I will do it for you. Read Full Post

After studying/working in the Web Development industry for more than 4 years, I've finally decided to take a shot at working at my own Website. I'm not sure what the real motivation has been, maybe setting-up a college fund for my son or just seeing so many other people find success (with my help), but it has been a great journey so far. So, here are the fruits of my labour after a few short weeks (and a few years of procrasinaion):

I've been researching PHP-Based frameworks for sometime now and each one (There are a lot, it turns out) seems to have it's own set of benefits and pitfalls. I've been holding out for the Zend framework, which looks promising, but progress has been slow for an impatient guy like myself. A few weeks ago I ran into the Symfony Framework--it looks like these guys have done their homework! At first glance it looks like it has a lot of promise and I'm considering a project to test it out. It seems to have all of the features that have made Ruby on Rails famous (MVC, Scaffolding) and more... I'll post more when I get a chance to try this out. Read Full Post
