Making Life Better in the New Year
Posted Dec 22, 2006 @ 2:46 am, Viewed by 625 Visitors, Read 625 Times.Oh my God---what happened..? In any case, as adults, we look forward and we keep moving...but...
Why do we forget about the things that make us who we are?
The lucky ones (like me!) have chosen and progressed in a career that they are completly satisfied with. Perhaps, a family and enough to keep them waking up in the morning. But if you could do anything in the world, what would it be? I guess, the ultimate question of this holiday rant is:
what would make your life, a deliriously happy life?
So I end my post with a list of (completely selfish) things that I would like to include in the next year. I hope eveyone else does the same.
- More music (making & appreciating)
- More art/ fashion/culture
- getting out more (which previous list-items require!)
- deliberate exercise
- more social/family types of interaction. (Being the host would be nice.)
- Helping others
** often my partner refers to me as her "third child"

Of course, my next year will probably be much too busy to do many of these things--but hey--there's always the following year.

Nice! Yeah, that'd be a nice break. It's nice to see an all-ages (cafe) venue for acoustic jams in town (finally).
I'd be in on that too.. if you guys need a third, or even with the music making. I'm always willing to Jam!
Nice list, Phil
I'm with ya on the new years resolution for "deliberate exercise" and so far I've been keeping up with it. Feel fantastic, definitely a lifestyle I am willing to work consistently on. If you ever wanna goto VI Fitness with me and Josh and Ben gimme a call. I will have a car back in about a week from now too.
Cool. Jams have never seemed to work out whenever I've tried, but this year that will change. Gym is not a possibly for me now--I just don't have the free time/money (being a new dad).I am walking more, though.
