Pinehurst, NC area homes and automobiles get a free wash by the rain currently falling removing the Spring pollen that has been coating any unprotected surface in the area.

Unfortunately for a friend and his visiting family that are playing one of Pinehurst's golf courses, the Centennial/ #8, the rain may be inconvenient but I am sure they will make it a good day as long as their clubs do not turn into lighting rods.

Pinehurst / Southern Pines, North Carolina  ~ Drought Relief !

Pinehurst area Golf Courses as well as the Southern Pines area horse pastures are being revived by this week's rain, and this Spring's weather is forecast to help lesson the severity of the past years drought.

From Stage 3 to Stage 2 Water Restrictions

The Village of Pinehurst announced this past week that effective April 1st, 2008 Pinehurst area residents and golf courses will go from Stage 3 to Stage 2 Water Restrictions and can begin watering on a limited bases, twice weekly. Our cars however will continue to show our civic minded coating of pollen as water restrictions will still be in place that prevents washing our cars at home, but if really needed commercial car washes are available.
