Hello everyone, it has been a great summer if you where a buyer in the market for real estate here in the Poconos. I have worked with many buyers in all diferent price ranges. These buyers have a wide range of price, style of home and location, but all have one thing in common. They weren’t sure the proper questions to ask themselves before actually putting time, energy, and leg work into the home hunting process. With this in mind I decided to put together some tips to help potential home ... Read Full Post
Out here in the Poconos we have literally hundreds of gated recreational communities. These communities offer full time residency but are also in large part for second and vacation homes. The vacation home market brings with it some good and bad considerations. The good, for one, is that second homes seem to be more of a commodity rather than a necessity so we tend to see a higher volume of resale. The good in this is that it creates a great deal of options for potential buyers, the down side... Read Full Post
Lake Wallenpaupack is the second largest man-made lake in the north east. The idea conceived in 1922 and executed beginning 1924 by PP&L (Pennsylvania Power and Light company). The land was purchased from about 100 land owners in which previously only a mountain stream ran through. The lake and damn where put into service in 1926 and generate a whopping 44,000 KW of power from the power plant. Little more than 500 people inhabit the region around the lake in the early years but the lake s... Read Full Post

Living in the Pocono Mountains offers a great many things. One of which is the abundant wildlife. Never a day goes by that you don't see one of natures creatures frolicking about and enjoying his day. Unfortunately, in most occasions that particular display of wild beauty is usually near or on a roadway. I have trained my self, and conditioned my driving skills to be an expert at avoiding shortening the life of the unwary animal that should happen to cross my path. I slow and swerve for frogs...
