The Thousandaire

Much like distant cousin, the Millionaire, the Thousandaire takes great care with finances.  Often the Thousandaire has real estate holdings, stocks, bonds, and mutual funds.  Leverage and timing are forefront in the thoughts of this investor.  Credit card balances are often, if not always, paid in full as this type of liability has no inherent tax advantage.  However, bank financing of real estate holdings is filled with abundant tax benefits and is not an opportunity that is likely to be passed by the successful Thousandaire.

In Prescott, real estate investing has been a profit center for many investors over the years.  Changes in the marketplace are viewed as opportunities and necessary occurrences by those willing to accept the risks and rewards of holding a leveraged asset.  A small amount invested today in the form of the down payment on a property could yield significant rewards for those that have the vision to amplify their capital through prudent bank financing.  But then how does the Thousandaire navigate a market fraught with hazards, while growing capital and enhancing liquidity?

First of all, they know where to stand in relation to the market.  Keep in mind that by following the herd one could get caught in a stampede.  After all, the trend is your friend.  Good advice, the Thousandaire says, because when others head for the exits, what is left is the golden door.  It's safe to say that housing is an intensely hated sector at the present time.  The herd won't touch it but the Thousandaire may want to pick it up.

Second, the wise Thousandaire does not try to plan for perfection.  Buying at the absolute bottom and selling at the absolute top would be nice but isn't realistic.  It's better just to hold the nose and go into (and out of) a market when you think the time is right.

Which brings the final point:  Just Execute, baby.  So many suffer from acute analysis paralysis -- they are such geniuses and can tell you everything and then some, but they never really *do* anything.  The Thousandaire has an action plan and a plan for actions, keeping in mind being perfect really isn’t the point.  The whole idea is to show more gains than losses, even if it isn't that pretty sometimes.

Modestly, the Thousandaire makes way through the market extracting the most from every opportunity presented along the way, building and growing every day.
