Many times I have asked myself what really the difference is between real estate investing and conventional real estate, and since I have been in Costa Rica, I have gotten a taste of both. In real estate, you deal with one client at one time. Maybe you have a few leads you are working on, but when you deal with a client, you figure out what they are looking for and that goes far beyond generating the lead and far beyond getting exposure online and offline. The last client I have sold to would... Read Full Post
We see it so many times. A hot new spot gets discovered, developers are moving in and next thing we know, the place looks ugly and everything that has once made that place so pleasant, gets destroyed. We have seen this in many parts of Costa Rica. Jaco, Quepos, Tamarindo ... those are places I don“t ever want to be. The hot new market is the Nicoya Peninsula. The Nicoya Peninsula still has nature, jungle, endless beaches and whatever else gets people to want to live here. Our Costa Rica Real... Read Full Post
According to CNBC, Costa Rica has the hottest real estate market on planet earth. It is true, many parts are already overbuilt and overinvested, but there are plenty of spots where you can still get a square meter for 10 to 15 dollars. There are many oceanview properties still availeble, many of them bound to triple in value within the next few years. You also need to realize that some of the best spots to visit are hard to get to. Roads are about to be fixed up, infrastructure improved, then... Read Full Post
I am now showing a lot of potential homebuyers and investors around in Costa Rica. A lot of people don't know how to do buiness in Costa Rica and to be honest, it's very simple and makes me smile to see that those who are interested and dedicated do find a lot of ways to get things done. When buying a property, you should always register it unde... Read Full Post
For the past 9 months I've been in Costa Rica mainly. Left San Diego a year ago, spend a couple of months in Amsterdam (great place to party, bad place to get stuck in), then took the plane to San Jose, Costa Rica and discovered a whole new world. Costa Rica is the place I wished I had come to about 10 years ago. I miss the United States a lot. My daughter, my friends. My plan is to spend 8 months out of the year in Costa Rica and the other time in Atlanta, Georgia (even though I will have to... Read Full Post
This has happened to me before and this will happen to me again. I submit to a real estate directory, follow the instructions to list it in mine, and guess what. I submit and it gives me an error. Then I go to the contact form and guess what ... another error. Has this happened to you before? I'm putting together a list of quality directories which don't do that. Paid or free ones. If anybody wants to help me out, let me know of some good ones and out some bad ones if you like (but please don... Read Full Post
This was just a little game between me and a few friends over on DP. Right now people there have bidding web directories where you can start with a buck and get a permanent backlink. You can also bid yourself onto the top of the homepage by outbidding others who are listed. Basically, I like the concept, but needless to say, this is being overdone now and way spammy. Many of the contestants registered keyword domains for it or bought expired domains with high PR. My point was to use frogengin... Read Full Post
