Investing in Costa Rica Property

I am now showing a lot of potential homebuyers and investors around in Costa Rica. A lot of people don't know how to do buiness in Costa Rica and to be honest, it's very simple and makes me smile to see that those who are interested and dedicated do find a lot of ways to get things done.

Incorporating in Costa Rica is very important and it's also very easy when you buy a pre registered clean one that you can easily change the name on.

When buying a property, you should always register it under your corporation name for tax reasons and because of the fact that transfer of property is very easy that way.

What is very imporatant is to practice green building to keep the areas you're relocating to the way that they are and keep increaing in value. Many times when we go to show a property to a potential buyer, the home owners in the area come by to speak to us in order to let us know the importance of keeping the area very much the way it was when they first came there.

Tamarindo and Jaco are two places which can set an example on what can happen when too many investors come in and the prices shoot skyhigh just to drop within a couple of years.

Delicias, Manzanillo and other areas on the Nicoya Peninsula are close to hot spots like Montezuma, Santa Teresa and Malpais but still have the charm of Costa Rica.

My advice to property investors is to check out some of those hidden treasures. The best is yet to come for Costa Rica, but places that were hot a couple of years ago are now turning into concrete jungles, the type that potential home buyers were trying to get away from.
