I decided to write this blog post in an effort to provide its readers with some solid, "boots-on-the-ground", information concerning where oil is, and is not, in the Gulf states. Sarasota property sales hit their highest levels since 2005! May sales were at 766, the highest number of sales for the year. This number represents a 51.3% increase over May of 2009 and was the highest number of sales in any month since December of 2005. I don't know about the rest of the folks out there, but our business is booming as educated buyer's begin to grasp the reality that low prices and low interest rates are making for some great opportunites to purchase real estate here in Sarasota and beyond.
