Positively Positive

This current market reminds me of when I first got into the real estate business as an agent.

It was with Century 21 and my broker was already very savvy at the age of 80 or so (no, kidding and always came to work with a smile on his face and a trinkle in his eye like you know who). It was one of those low points in the housing cycles and he hammered into my head to always think positive and be positive. When someone asked how the market was, the standard answer was 'Great! All I need are a few more good listings! Know of anyone?" You can bet that answer was counter to everything they were hearing from the media etc.

Now that I'm going through my 3rd cycle over the years, I know it will get better. I can't wait for it to upturn. And, I won't wait. Because, I use the lull to reposition my business, rethink it and to be out in front advertising it, as well as listings. No one else will do it for you. Always advertise in slow times. Few will, and you'll stand out. Stay positive.
