How to create links on your REW webpages

A common question that arises is "how  do I create a link and place it on a page".  Here is a simple example of how to do this.

I am going to create a link to http://www.realestatewebmasters.com and use the anchor text "Real Estate Website".

1.  In the wysiwyg editor (page content area) type the text you want as your anchor text.

2.  Highlight the text.

3.  Click the  "Insert Link" button

4.  The Insert Link dialog box opens where you enter the destination link (URL).  In this case I entered http://www.realestatewebmasters.com.  In the drop down list you can choose to "open in the same window" or "open in a new window".  make your selection and click "Insert".  Also, make sure that you click  "Save Page" at the bottom of the page you are editing so that these changes will take effect.

Once these steps have been taken, your link should appear like this in the CMS:

And should appear like this on your site:
