Smashing Magazine just released a design study of 50 of the biggest blogs out there. I've never seen anything like it. Very interesting read for anyone with a blog. Read Full Post
I just found this web site and I really like that they've taken a different approach to desgning a R.E. site: lanikaiproperties.com It's refreshing to see something visually different in the RE web design. They've managed to do something visually creative while still maintaining all the important parts of a RE site (IDX, unique content, etc.) The unique visual style of the site really captures the feel of Hawaii. I'm impressed that they had the guts to try something different... I believe it ... Read Full Post
I spent the day finishing the re-design of my personal web site and I'd like to share my efforts with the REW community: www.leifmiltenberger.com I'd love some feedback: what do you think of the design? Read Full Post
Hi everyone, So, it's Saturday night and I'm sitting here, beer in hand, and I thought I'd share something. Just in case it's become "all-real-estate-all-the-time" in your life these days, I'd like to show you something different. In late 2000 I got a job working at a picture-framing shop in Vancouver. On Saturdays we listened to a radio show called This American* Life (www.thislife.org) that's broadcast on NPR in the lower 48. (We got it on satellite radio from KPLU in Tacoma.) It's an hour-... I've been a long-time reader of Design Meltdown (www.designmeltdown.com). It's an excellent place for web design inspiration. There's a section on that site listing well-designed Real Estate sites and I thought I'd share: www.designmeltdown.com/chapters/Realestate/ It's got a very nice collection of Real Estate sites and a very thoughtful (if short) critique of the current state of the Real Estate industry's online presence. Oh, and don't worry - I've submitted five of the best REW sites to s... Read Full Post
I've been thinking about it and I think it makes more sense to post links to my design projects when they're live rather than when they're still on our development server. So, here's the most recent of my projects to go live: www.charliepigeon.com. Charlie's a Buyer's agent in Southwest Florida. This was a standard REW template site with some customizations to it.
