Smashing Magazine just released a design study of 50 of the biggest blogs out there.  I've never seen anything like it.  Very interesting read for anyone with a blog.

I just found this web site and I really like that they've taken a different approach to desgning a R.E. site: lanikaiproperties.com

It's refreshing to see something visually different in the RE web design.  They've managed to do something visually creative while still maintaining all the important parts of a RE site (IDX, unique content, etc.)  The unique visual style of the site really captures the feel of Hawaii.  I'm impressed that they had the guts to try something different... I believe it paid off for them.

I'm really curious - what does the REW community think of this site?

Hi everyone,

So, it's Saturday night and I'm sitting here, beer in hand, and I thought I'd share something.  Just in case it's become "all-real-estate-all-the-time" in your life these days, I'd like to show you something different. 

In late 2000 I got a job working at a picture-framing shop in Vancouver.  On Saturdays we listened to a radio show called This American* Life (www.thislife.org) that's broadcast on NPR in the lower 48.  (We got it on satellite radio from KPLU in Tacoma.)  It's an hour-long talk radio show** that tells the stories of average people and all their oddities.  Hmm... maybe that's not the best description...
