Live Messenger has now forced everyone to upgrade to the most recent version. A couple people in our office needed to do the update. One of them had a major issue after the upgrade and could not sign in. No error message, just a redirection back to the sign in screen. After much pain I found this blog on Windows Live Messenger Sign in Fails but no Error Message and it fixed my issue. If you have a large lead database there are a few things to remember to help keep you (and us) off the Spam Blacklists when sending email to your whole list. These things will improve the number of your emails that make it to peoples inboxes. Keep your list clean. If someone replys to your mail asking to be removed, unsubscribe them (under Edit in the lead manager). If an email bounces, unsubscribe or delete them. Changing your DNS can take a few hours to 2 days. Sometimes you just want to see the new site NOW. Here are some things to try to get you to the new site sooner. Step 1: Flush your DNS On your computer go to Start -> Run and type in CMD and click OK. For the security of the servers and your mail we have some rules about email passwords. Please keep these in mind when requesting a new password. The eternal question, How do I get less spam? Well let’s talk about how spammers get your email address. Simple email names on well SEO’d domains. For example having info@myhighrankingdomain.com will get you a ton of spam. Bots user dictionary lists and will just sent spam to every name in the dictionary list at a domain. A very important concept in programing a system that will be used by people is Input Validation. When programmers miss this it can make life difficult for others trying to deal with the data.
