Has anyone had success with a Google Blog

I am considering setting up a blog for those interested in Sarasota Golf course properties and wondering if anyone knows whether it hurts or helps to use the standard dot blogspot.com domain name or a unique domain name.


It seems a lot simpler to just setup something like sarasota-golf.blogspot.com but if that's not optimal, I'll ask my webmaster to go to the trouble of setting it up as a unique domain name.

Any input would be appreciated.
